The Deluxe King Room had a fan which did well to counter the summer heat, ensuring comfort throughout the night. The overall ambiance was cozy, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
Steep stairs lead to the bedroom, making access a bit tricky, especially with luggage. The shower was over the bath rather than in a separate cubicle, which can be inconvenient wanting a quick refresh. finding the hotel could be a hassle. clearer signage or a lighted name on the gate would help, particularly when arriving at night.

The Deluxe Room was surprisingly pleasant, offering ample space for a couple to unwind. The property had a picturesque lake at the back, which made for a nice evening stroll, a real bonus amidst the busy surroundings.
The location was right by a busy road, making it tough to enjoy a peaceful evening walk to nearby spots like the river pub. While the lake offered some respite, the noise from the traffic was a distraction. Just a heads up, the room didn’t come with any additional toiletries beyond the basic essentials, which felt a bit lacking for a place at this price point.

Why it might work for you – or not
Unparalleled hospitality from Jane and Trevor made our stay unforgettable! Enjoying homemade flapjacks while cozied up by the log burner was a highlight! !
Despite the tranquility inside, the noise from the nearby main road disrupted our peaceful escape.

The Deluxe King Room was a delightful surprise. A spacious layout with a lovely comfy bed made for restful nights. The little touches, like complimentary wine and chocolates, added a personal feel. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding. This place smells of fresh coffee, and the selection was impressive, featuring homemade cakes and fresh fruit. I loved the inviting snug downstairs. it created a home-like atmosphere for relaxing. there were no extra toiletries available beyond the basics, which would have been nice. the heating could be adjusted more easily. Still, this charming place exceeded my expectations overall.
